Usability Testing Screening Questionnaire

Thank you for your interest in our usability testing study. Please read the following information and click “Continue to questions” at the bottom of this page.

What is the purpose of this study?

This study aims to understand how people diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) use the Modius Spero device in a typical home-use setting. Our goal is to ensure the device is easy to understand, simple to operate, and safe to use without additional support. Your feedback will help improve instructions, labelling, and usability for future users.

Location

The study will take place in central Belfast, and full details of the exact location will be provided to you in advance of your session.

What will happen if I take part?

You will attend a single session lasting around 30-45 minutes. During this session, you will:

The session may be video-recorded to help with later analysis. You will have the option to agree or decline to allow these recordings to be used for communication or presentation purposes. Declining will not affect your ability to take part.

Screening

We aim to include approximately 15 adults aged 18 yrs or older with a PTSD diagnosis across a range of ages, genders, and levels of familiarity with technology.

We need to collect some information to determine if you’re suitable for the study.

All responses will be used for screening purposes only and will be kept confidential.

If many people meet the eligibility criteria, we will choose participants based on the needs of the study. This includes making sure we have a balanced mix of participant types.

To ensure this balance, we will:

The session may be video-recorded to help with later analysis. You will have the option to agree or decline to allow these recordings to be used for communication or presentation purposes. Declining will not affect your ability to take part.

To ensure a balanced mix of participants, meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee a place in the study.

Selected participants will receive a £100 gift voucher on completion as a thank you and in lieu of incurred expenses.
