Meet The Team - Rachel Robinson - Lead Clinical Researcher
My name is Rachel Robinson and I joined Neurovalens in September 2022 as a Lead Clinical Researcher. From a young age I was always fascinated about the function and development of the human body and this is the main reason I chose to focus my studies within the fields of anatomy and physiology. I hold a BSC (Hons) Human Biology at Queen’s University Belfast and continued to obtain a MSc in Human Anatomy at The University of Edinburgh where my clinical project focused on synapse pathology in motor neuron disease. Alongside that I had a real passion for helping others and knew that clinical research and the medical industry would be a great fit for me.
What attracted you to join the Neurovalens team?
Following my university studies, I followed a career path in the precision medicine and medical device sector where I obtained 8 years experience managing global clinical testing for a range of disease indications. I first heard of Neurovalens in 2022 and started to follow the company’s activity and became more and more interested in finding out how the technology worked and the innovative solutions. I quickly realised how the company was so passionate about solving some of the world's greatest health challenges using non-invasive neurostimulation and I knew it would be something I would enjoy being a part of!
What motivates you in your work?
My motivators include achieving goals and contributing to the company's success in reaching major milestones. Working alongside a highly skilled team who are all so passionate about what we do as a company motivates me every day as I am always learning new things to grow and develop. As my personal interest is also in helping people, I love to see how much of a positive impact the Neurovalens technology has on people’s quality of life. This is a huge motivator knowing that we are and can continue to make a huge positive difference to people’s lives.
What do you do to unwind and relax after work?
I love the outdoors and regularly enjoy hiking, socialising, travelling and exploring different countries and cultures. I also play Netball competitively which keeps me very busy during the season!
